Every year, the U.S. spends up to $100B on disasters. Despite this, a large percentage of the workers helping to rebuild are exploited – sometimes, never paid at all.

Resilience Force was founded by Saket Soni after witnessing Hurricane Katrina and discovering how these workers – particularly immigrants – are undervalued, overworked, and underpaid. Despite their experience and skill, workers are often taken advantage of, receiving little to no compensation and working in unsafe conditions.

Workers deserve better conditions and fair treatment; they shouldn’t have to sleep in their cars, and they shouldn’t be going hungry. Resilience Force is not only ensuring protections for these workers, but scaling this urgently-needed workforce and reinventing how industries and towns rise to the challenge of increasing disasters.
